Founded in 1989, Yantai Agricultural Means of Production General Corporation,as a large-scale logistics company in Shandong province, has registered capital of RMB5 million, fixed assets of RMB156 million, business area of 20,000sq.m., 18 operating units, and three fertilizer manufacturing plants (single ownership or joint venture). With an annual output of 1 million tons of fertilizer, its sales income broke through RMB1,500 million in continuous eight years, and the value of export reached US$150 million.
　　In recent years, the company, under principle of “Shandong-oriented, with attention around”, has explored the new way of logistics of agricultural materials, focused its efforts to Northeast, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Henan, Guangxi, Guangdong, and Xinjiang, and established the regional delivery centers around railways and ports. In 1999, “Yannong” that integrates trademark for production and brand for service was registered in the State Administration for Industry & Commerce. In 2001, its chain stores came into being in Yantai, Weihai, and Shouguang to combine franchising of agricultural materials and brand strategy, and brought its network to towns and villages. Up to now, 85 regional delivery centers and 3,800 franchising stores have been established all over the country, and the nationwide network of agricultural materials has taken its initial shape.

Its more than 40 domestic strategic partners including Yunnan Three Circles, Yuntianhua Group Co., Ltd., Juhua Group Corporation, Hangzhou Lishi Fertilizer Co., Ltd. are capable of providing more than 700,000tons of fertilizers yearly, meanwhile, its foreign partners including Mosaic USA, NORSK HYDRO ASA, etc are capable of providing more than 300,000tons of world-known fertilizers yearly, such as diammonium hydrogen phosphate, Hydro Calcium Nitrate, Russian compound fertilizer, and potash fertilizer, etc.

It, together with Mosaic USA, and Yunan Three-circles, etc, co-founded Yunnan Three Circles-Sinochem-Cargill Fertilizers Co., Ltd., which enjoys an annual output of 600,000tons of diammonium phosphate; together with Shanxi Fengxi Fertilizer (Industry) Group Co., Ltd., and Anhui Huilong Group, co-founded Shanxi Fengxi Huarui Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., which is capable of producing 180,000tons of synthetic ammonia and 300,000tons of carbamide yearly with coke gas as raw material; and invested RMB10 million to found Yannong Sun Fertilizer Co., Ltd., which enjoys an annual output of 180,000tons of BB fertilizer. The BB fertilizers with nitrogen, phosphor, and kalium in different proportions, which are developed considering the nature of local soil and character of planting, are well favored by farmers.

It has been awarded the honorary titles for years, including “Shandong Top 100 Enterprise”, “Shandong Provincial Contract-stressing & Promise-keeping Enterprise”, “Yantai Advanced Unit in Commercial Circulation”, etc. The company was listed into backbones of “Three Key Ten-Projects” by the local government in 2004, and was considered as a supporter of pilot project for townships and villages by Ministry of Commerce in 2005.
